The David Patrone Quintet is the #1 Southern California-based
Jazz Quintet featuring David Patrone and specializing in popular
Jazz Standards of the 30's, 40's, 50's and 60's. Known for
his Rat Pack demeanor and engaging stage presence, David reaches
the audience with an attitude and style that gamers attention
both during and between songs.
The David Patrone Quintet presents classic vocal Jazz standards
in the style of Frank Sinatra, Tony Bennett, Louis Armstrong,
Ella Fitzgerald, Billie Holiday, Harry Connick Jr. and others
from our "American Songbook". We're even making
new "Standards." Previously they have performed
Rat Pack Revues, weddings (including the ceremonial music!),
engagement parties, rehearsal dinners, corporate events, casino
parties, casinos and even Parades. In fact, if you can't think
of a reason to have a party, call David, he'll think of one
for you!
Born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, David Patrone was raised
in a talented family, rich with musical tradition. He has
been singing, entertaining and playing harmonica since the
age of six. His interest and familiarity of Rhythm & Blues
and classical Jazz accompanied him around the world through
a ten-year tour of duty in the United States Marine Corps.
During that time he formed his 11-member big band, The Dirty
Bourbon Big Band. Soon after leaving the Marines to pursue
a career in music, he formed his Quintet. Since then he has
seen impressive success in San Diego, becoming the most popular
male Jazz Vocalist there in less than a year.
David plays every night and frequently some of San Diego's
finest Jazz and Blues players stop by to stand in. In fact,
David has band configurations from two musicians up to 11.
They transition between swingin' numbers and melancholy ballads
that capture the attention of the entire room with straight-ahead
good stuff that takes you back to a time when live music was
imperative; hats were checked, dames were respected and booze
wasn't such a bad word.
David Patrone packs a powerful performance, gets the crowd
involved, and carries you back in musical history. Bring your
dancin' shoes and a handkerchief; you'll need them both. If
you are contemplating a preview of David's live show in consideration
for booking an event, we recommend that you call us first.
David specializes in catering to his specific audience and
some venues are not representative of the type of show we'll
perform at your event. We'll suggest which venues would most
closely match the type of performance you desire for your
special event. We hope to see you soon!
