Accomplished jazz pianist Sunnie Paxson's debut CD Groove Suite was released on April 9 by Liquid 8/Roadshow Music (BMG). Paxson, an accomplished performer, composer and songwriter describes her debut as "a party. ..all about the groove of life." John Mullen, Operations Manager of radio station CD 101.9 in New York City, calls "Do It ('Til You're Satisfied)," the first single from Groove Suite, the "Feel Good Record Of The Year."

The CD marks the first time that this established session musician and experienced composer and performer steps into the spotlight. Guest artists heard on Groove Suite include Stanley Clarke and Larry Carlton. Also joining the "groove" are guitarist and singer Michael Sembello, bassist Jimmy Earl and saxophonist Dave Boruff.

The 11 tracks on the CD include nine original compositions written or co-written by Paxson. Every track on Groove Suite has its own direction and each delivers a strong message about a specific feeling or emotion. In addition to Paxson's original compositions are "Changin"' and her funky version of the classic hit "Do It ('Til You're Satisfied)."

Sunnie was been voted one of Los Angeles' Best Jazz Performers in Los Angeles Magazine' s Special "Best of L.A." issue. And Grammy-nominated Harvey Mason, one of the most respected drummers in the industry, noted that Sunnie is "a master musician with depth and an enormous wealth of musical background from which to draw."
