Who are Soul Suvivaz?
Soul Suvivaz is Chris Reyes and Andres Pecina (aka C-Rey and Andrayz-P). Both members are of Mexican-American decent. Both members are highly educated and motivated young individuals. Chris, better known as "C-Rey," is an accomplished producer and writer as well as a sociologist by trade, having earned his degree from San Diego State University. Andres, better known as "Andrayz-P," is also an accomplished producer and writer and holds multiple degrees in transportation engineering. Both individuals are members of a college based crew called "The Wolfpack," which has helped to solidify a strong local fanbase and following. More importantly, Soul Survivaz is hip-hop to the 100th Power! They are the group for the millennium: cultured, intelligent, handsome and talented. Not Latino hip-hoppers BUT hip-hoppers who are Latino and proud!

How Did It All Begin?
Founded in March of 1995, Soul Survivaz began as an offshoot of a larger group called Undaground Prodigyz. Chris and Andres, the producers and backbone of the group broke off in order to pursue a more creative reality in the form of Soul Survivaz! What happened next was pure magic. Fusing their love for Latino culture, hip-hop, alternative music and rock and roll, Soul Survivaz began to form a sound distinct to "Southtown" San Diego. Danceable music with attitude and a message was the formula for the groove. Latino culture, intelligence and southside "playlistics" is the formula for the movement.

The Soul Survivaz bring forth a reality yet seen in the current hip-hop arena.
