Unlike her name, Amy Anderson is Korean American. She was
adopted and raised by Swedish people in Minnesota where her
inevitable comedy career took flight. Amy spent six years
in Minneapolis as a comedian, actor and writer before fleeing
to sunny Los Angeles. In addition to her stand up, Amy has
an extensive background in theater, improv and sketch comedy
and somehow managed to obtain a degree in classical music.
Amy was a finalist in the NEC / Laugh Factory Open Mic Competition
and the CA's Funniest Female Contest, where she won 4th place...
that's right, 4th place. Amy is a regular at all of the major
clubs in the L.A. area, including The Hollywood Improv where
she produces and performs in her own stand-up showcase called,
ChopSchtick Comedy. Watch for Amy's 2003 appearances on National
Lampoon's Funny Money and Comedy Central's Premium Blend.
Amy headlines colleges throughout the United States and is
trying to reduce her dairy consumption.
